EXAMPLE OF CONTENTS: Canongate Church History of the City General Description of the City and its improvements Account of the Principal Buildings in the City General History of the Town of Leith Etc The books cover is brown cloth boards with brown leather corners and spine. Red title label to spine with gold gilt title writing. The cover has some light surface shelf ware and some rubbing to the leather corners and spine / spine edges. Otherwise the cover is in good condition. The hinges, inner boards and endpapers are in good order. Unfortunately the title page is missing. There are two pull out maps in the book of Edinburgh Town and Suburbs and a Edinburgh City map. Both the maps have some surface shelf ware and some light fox marks ( see pictures). Otherwise the maps are in good condition for the books age. There are 336 pages with 59 pages of the Gazeteer of the County of Edinburgh to the rear of the book. There are some pages with light fox marks along the bottom edge and the odd fox spot but overall the pages are in good condition for the books age. A good copy of this rare and scarce book on Edinburgh from 1787. The binding is tight and square. Thanks For Looking.
