This doesn't come with any kind of battery. Compatible with Invisible Fence Boundary Plus receivers when the transmitter is placed in SSP-A mode or 800 Series receivers when the transmitter is set to OUTDOOR MODE (800 mode). Not compatible with 700 Series receivers. Will work with the 800 series, but only in Outdoor Mode (which does not give you the benefit of the Boundary Plus). The manual is available on-line.
