Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I AM NOT SELLING A KIT, only a new, full-size copy of a 1955 Air Trails scale RC PLAN & construction article by Chuck Hollinger to build his 70" J-3 CUB RC. When Chuck Hollinger's famous pure scale, rudder-only RC PIPER J-3 CUB model was first published, it became instantly popular. It used a Fox .19 and had plug-in wing panels so they would pop off in a hard landing and not destroy the plane. The PLAN sold so well that a kit was produced and sold by Berkeley. I show the knock-off wing and strut attachment diagram. The fuselage and wing assembly diagram shows how the kit varied some at the leading edge from this Air Trails pure scale model PLAN. As a BONUS I include scale 3-views as well as an excellent Air Trails Model Annual article detailing scale model instrumentation. The 60+ year old article will help in planning a panel accurately and increase your understanding of the purpose of various instruments in various types of aircraft. If that weren’t enough I also include a full-size float PLAN and a copy of Hollinger’s accompanying article from 1955. You’ll not find a more thorough offering. The last picture is of Pop at a Reading, PA Air Show long ago. He was reliving the experiences of the start of his military flying career in a J-3 Cub like this one in the mountains of Virginia. I AM NOT SELLING A KIT, only a new, full-size copy of the PLAN and construction article to build a 70" span Piper J-3 CUB RC. YOU ARE PURCHASING A CLEAN, WHITE, FULL-SIZE COPY OF THE 70" SPAN ORIGINAL FULL-SIZE PLAN OF HOLLINGER'S J-3 CUB, CONSTRUCTION ARTICLE & BONUS DOCUMENTATION FOLDED & IN A MANILA ENVELOPE.
