Description: This was purchased from an estate sale. The owners purchased the painting at auction in the late 1980s and they have owned it since. The painting shows up in art registries as being sold in the late 80s This is an oil painting under glass. The painting is beautiful and striking. The visible portion of the painting in the front of the frame is approximately 11.5”x7.5”. The frame itself measures approximately 18”x14”. This is an original work by James Gale Tyler depicting a steamboat/steam barge at night. I believe the frame is original to the painting. There is some crazing on the frame and some chips around the edges as shown. This will be packed carefully and padded for shipping and will ship insured.
