Description: EXTREMELY RARE Pre civil war early 19th century James Gaskins STAMPED "Norfolk" Virginia coin silver table or serving spoon measuring roughly 9" and weighing 53.9 grams. This is the ONLY pieces of James Gaskins we have ever seen actually stamped NORFOLK. Overall condition of this spoon is good to very good showing some signs of wear and use typical for a piece of flatware of this age. It could use a good polish but we will leave that up to the next owner. This spoon comes from a long time collector of historical silver.
