Description: john demott mailbox statue. I am listing the base as onyx because that is what I found other sellers listed it as. I am not a stone expert, but it is clearly a lovely, natural stone. A signed "DeMott" metal table sculpture on a heavy onyx as the base. DeMott is best known for his brass / copper sailboat sculptures on onyx bases. He now has a gallery in Colorado that focuses on western and landscape art. This mailbox sculpture differs from a majority created by DeMott as it uses a chain for the post and is taller than most. The sculpture is in very nice condition as shown in the photos and measures approximately 11" H x 5" L x 5" W. Wine bottle in pictures is to help with scale of mailbox. Wine is not included. Thanks!
