KALEIDOSCOPE BUTTON #5, 1800s Clear Glass w/ Colorful Back, TIN BACKED

Description: Antique clothing button was probably produced in the latter part of the 1800s. I believe this is called a KALEIDOSCOPE button. The button is made of clear glass -- which has a colorfully painted underside -- with a tin disc affixed to the back. The backing radiates color when the button is viewed from different angles. It has a metal shank affixed to the tin backing. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact button size. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The button may have slight surface/paint wear -- but there are no cracks, large chips, or other more serious flaws. It is in very nice shape and it will display quite well.
