Description: KENTON CAST IRON DOG DRAWN PUPPY CART WAGON VERY RARE CATALOGED 1900 Up for auction is a rare cast iron dog drawn puppy cart by Kenton. Kenton catalogued this cart with the puppy passenger in 1900. In 1901 and beyond, the passenger was changed to a girl figure. This puppy passenger version is extremely rare! Kenton began making toys in 1894 so it is possible that this toy was being made prior to 1900...but 1900 appears to be the final year (and maybe the only year) they made this toy. This piece measures approx 7" long x 2.5" Wide. Nice original condition for its age and rarity. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs to the cast iron. The piece was magnet tested and is cast iron and does appear to be original. The paint is old but all original. This piece could make a great addition to any collection.
