The length can vary as long as your filter housing bowl is deep enough to accommodate. Kinetico recommend replacing the Sediment Pre-Filter every 3 to 6 months. Depending on your water quality. replace this filter sooner if you notice the water flow is slowing down or the FILTER color becomes darker. (See pics in listing. Black filters were changed every 60 days.) These filters will last much longer than the 5 micron filter which may only last a few weeks depending on water quality.
