After his death some years later, his daughter married Robert Klaas, also a cutler. He named the company after himself in 1869. Today the Robert Klaas Company still produces knives in the old tradition, hand assembled and polished by master cutlers. This bowie celebrates the 170th anniversary of the company's original founding.
