I do not use stock photos or photos of other people’s items.This is a square pendant locket of the late 1800s Aesthetic Period. The left asymmetrical half depicts a flower and geometric embellishments. The right half, separated by a semi-circle depicts a chalet. The reverse has a CFP script monogram with a scissor cut border. These are all classic elements of the Aesthetic Movement. It is unmarked for metal (gold) content. It is scratch marked inside X (Diamond Shape) I. It does not test for solid gold and there is an old edge cut where someone tested it directly with acid. An almost identical locket is offered by Wilson's Estate Jewelry for $425. They describe theirs as "Art Nouveau", circa 1900-1905 and "tested as 14K". Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described as new, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item of given age. If Free Shipping is offered it will be by the cheapest method possible, for books that will be Media Mail.
