Description: True vintage 1960's to early 1970's classic empire waist style dress for a winter gathering or cozy evening at home. Condition is excellent with no flaws found. No holes, tears, stains or odors. There are no labels and the dress appears to be custom-tailored. Original nylon zipper in back works smoothly. The fabric is plush velvet with rayon or poly backing and a glossy finish. Style is an A-line sheath with an empire waistline and long sleeves. Ivory braid at the neckline and under the bustline. Sleeves are about 23" long from the shoulder seam. A matching fabric shoulder bag is included. There is a generous hem allowance of about 1 1/2". Dress has NOT been dry-cleaned. It is pictured on a vintage mannequin which wears a modern size 2 and is about 5' 8" tall. The measurements of this dress are for about a modern size 0 - 2, according to standard measurements, and were taken lying flat. Please see photos and details above.
