T The 1/4 inch Viking Knit tool generates a very flexible and fluid chain that works up fast. A diameter of 3/8 inches can be achieved with 22-gauge wire. It can also accommodate 20-gauge wire by reducing the number of loops used. The 1/2" inch Viking Knit tool accommodates larger gauges of wire (up to 20 gauge). Because of the larger diameter, beads, pearls and gems can be inserted inside or outside the weaves, as well as using headpins with embellishments. Both tools can be used with multiple strands of different colors of wire at the same time.
