GRANT by Edward Deering Mansfield in 1868. Durable cloth over boards with a gilded image of the General on his horse stamped on the front board. The binding measures 5-1/4" x 8" and the text consumes 377 pages. A photograph by Gurney which is engraved by Wellstead serves as a frontispiece, with tissue-overlay protecting it. The Half-title also features many small Grant-related engravings by Wellstead.
