Description: This wood carving is quite incredible, with a lifelike bird standing on realistic boulders. I think it's a Harlan's Hawk, but I'm not completely sure. It was carved by Dick Moore and painted by his wife, Nancy Moore, signed and dated 2000. The last picture shows another carved hawk I have for sale by them. The overall size is 11.5" tall, including a 10" tall x 5" x 5.5" wood carving and a 1 3/8" x 8" wide wood base. They were glued together, but are now separated. It's safer to ship them separated, so I will let the buyer glue them together. The bird was carved from one piece of wood, the boulders were carved from another, and the manufactured talons are glued on. The carving has minimal wear, and the base shows a bit of wear.
