Description: This is a lot of 2 rare vintage Welch's jelly glasses in excellent condition. The Howdy Doody glass is dated 1953 and features Howdy Doody fishing with his friends Flub A Dub and Phineas T. Bluster. Flub A Dub has just caught a boot! It is notable that the embossed face on the bottom of the glass is princess Summerfall Winterspring. These glasses can have different faces on the bottom even with the same design on the sides, and most of the ones I have seen feature Howdy Doody's face on the bottom. The princess is a unique character in the Howdy Doody world due to the fact that the actress playing her died in a tragic car accident at age 24 in 1953, and was replaced in the show with a puppet. The Flintstones glass is dated 1963 and features Pebbles being babysat by Dino and Bam Bam. The face on the bottom of the glass is Betty Rubble. Please check out the pictures for details.
