She revealed her artistic ambition very early on and in 1938, obtained a scholarship which enabled her to come and study in France, where she met her masters; Bonnard and Vuillard.The Second World War pushed her to take refuge in Auvergne and Aix-en-Provence with the painter Jan-Waclaw Zawadowski. His Polish works were destroyed in 1939 by the Nazis.After the war, Lutka Pink took an active part in artistic life and many personal exhibitions were devoted to her in Paris.In the 1950s, she met Picasso, Braque, Chagall and Max Ernst. In addition to being her first buyers, they reinforced her in her new pictorial research. Indeed, art underwent significant changes from the 1950s.
