Description: This is a clay mask meant for wall hanging but it lost its hanging wire somewhere along the way to my fathers home. This item was leaning upright in my father's knick-knack shelf for a long time. We are unsure the culture or region that produced this item as there is no name tag or identifying marks. We are also unsure if this item was mass produced or handmade. The colors used on the front of this mask are still vibrant and colorful. However there are some wear markings and areas of light blue paint on the edges from items on my father's shelf rubbing against the mask. In addition there is a bird beak on the front of the mask that is missing a small bit of paint. The back of the mask has signs of scratching as well as the light blue paint that hit the edge of the item. With the right hanging wire this item would be a great shelf piece or a nice piece of wall art. Please see photos, smoke free home, thanks for looking!
