Description: CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN BLACK FRAME ONLY This 8 X 10 Merle Haggard hand-signed authentic autographed photo is a promo photograph from MCA records on Music Row in Nashville. It was found in Ken Kittinger's estate after he passed at age 91. Mr. Kittinger was my father and spent 50 years on Music Row as the premier Gold & Platinum awards maker for EVERY record label and extended his awards designing to overseas labels like Apple, Geffin and many other private labels for the Stones and other major groups. He not only knew Merle (as he did every star in Nashville) but he and Merle were best friends to the end. Pop passed in January 0f 2016 at the Tennessee State Veteran's Home when Merle was gravely ill in a California hospital. They spoke every Friday evening by design and that included the Friday evening before Pop passed on Saturday, January 9th, 2016. Merle followed him a few months later. They spent a lot of time together when Merle was in Nashville and Pop made all of Merle's Gold and Platinum awards. Pictured is one special 5-Platinum award he made for Merle at one of the special events he put together for Merle. You may want to Google Ken Kittinger Gold Records for more info on him. Meanwhile, please check the other items in my store (Davestraub47). I am 75; a retired CNN anchor and NBC White House Reporter and I do this as a labor of love. I have met country music fans in dozens of countries around the world that eBay is represented in and virtually every state in the U.S. Pop would be so thrilled to know his awards and memorabilia hang on so many walls. Packed professionally with lots of bubble wrap and custom boxes.
