Description: We are offering for sale this beautiful but small example of a yarn painting mask by the Huichol (Wixáritari) people of Mexico. The Huichol, or Wixáritari ("the people") as they call themselves, are a Native American tribe in west central Mexico, residing in the Mexican states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango. The Huichol are known for their beautifully decorated ceremonial yarn and beaded masks. This particular yarn mask is rather small, measuring about 9.5 inches in height and about 5 inches across, but it is beautifully decorated with vibrant colors. As you see in the included pictures, the mask features various native-inspired yarn designs on a wooden board. The piece is in excellent condition overall, though there are a few small loose threads on it. Since all of our items are sold as-is, please examine the pictures carefully prior to purchase to make sure there are no surprises. Finally, please reach out with any questions about the piece. We are a small operation, but will answer within 1 business day. We ship all pieces within 3 business days of purchase................ Follow us on Instagram @belle_cheri_collectibles
