The Custom Badass Modified O.D. features a classic overdrive circuit with modern modifications for improved performance and versatility. For added flexibility, we've added a 100HZ cut and boost control that allows for a more focused EQ when cut, or a beefier tone when boosted. The Bump switch engages an alternate EQ voicing that boosts the lows and mids. Put it in front of the '78 Custom Badass Distortion for a slew of amp-like gain structures that won't mask your tone. Features/Specs Classic overdrive circuit hotrodded for added versatility Adds sustain and gain without coloring your guitar’s tone 100HZ knob allows a more focused EQ when cut or a beefier tone when boosted Bump switch engages an alternate EQ voicing that boosts lows and mids True bypass Power The MXR Custom Badass Modified O.D. is powered by one 9-volt battery (remove bottom plate to install), a 9-volt AC adapter such as the Dunlop ECB003/ECB003E, or a DC Brick power supply Directions Run a cable from your guitar to the Modified O.D.’s INPUT jack and run another cable from the Modified O.D.’s Output jack to your amplifier. Set all controls to their 12 o’clock position. Turn the effect on by depressing the footswitch. Rotate the GAIN knob clockwise to increase the amount of overdrive or counterclockwise to decrease it. Rotate the Output knob clockwise to increase overall effect volume or counterclockwise to decrease it. Rotate the 100HZ knob clockwise to increase the low end for a thicker tone or counterclockwise for a more focused sound. At 12 o’clock, the frequency is flat. Engage the Bump switch for an alternate EQ voicing that provides a low and mid frequency boost. Items must be returned with all original packaging as well as all included items. Items that are not returned in original, resalable condition are subject to a 15% restocking fee. We charge a 15% restocking fee on returned items only if the item is clearly used and or the packaging is tarnished. A 10% re-stock is more likely if the unit comes back in mint condition. The ship cost we paid to ship your item will be deducted as well. In some cases restock fees and ship costs can be applied as a store credit. We will exchange a defective unit for the same unit within the 30-day period. After that period, you will have to work directly with the manufacturer for warranty service.
