Description: Original authentic NASA Challenger space shuttle explosion "space tragedy" newspaper headline and "Special Report" from The Charlotte Observer. Published Wednesday, January 29, 1986. The Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, killing all seven crew members aboard. There are a few small tears as well as some foxing spots. These are not necessarily uncommon given the age of the piece. Please review the photos. Pages 5A and 6A appear to be missing from the front section, but the headline and most front section content is preserved. It just looks like maybe someone took a page form the investments section. The entire "Special Report" section is in tact. Overall, it's in good condition and will absolutely be an impressive display item for any collector, enthusiast, or historian. Newspaper listings are often from my personal collection.I have been a collector for over 25 years. Unfortunately, I just cannot keep them all. Each is a unique pre-loved vintage, historic, and/or collectible piece. I would generally consider them to be good to very good condition. Obvious imperfections or damage are noted in the description and photographed. Send a message if you have questions. Item is wrapped in protective plastic and gently rolled to be shipped in USPS Priority Mail Small Tube (1098S).
