Tello has a $5 per month plan giving you 1GB of data per month which is more than a PoC radio will ever use. For $6 you can get 2GB of data per month if you think you need more. For people using mostly WiFi to connect and some out of the office/home communications, RedPocket has a $30 annual plan that I used for a few years with another devices that gives you only 200MBs of data, 200 minutes, and 1,000 text messages per month but I never used more than 200MBs in a month on cellular. I probably used the same amount on WiFi so the most I used monthly combined is up to 400MBs in a month. Finally there is Good2Go Wireless that has a $5 per month plan that has 1GB of data and unlimited calling/texting if you swap out SIM cards from device to device. PoC radio a good choice for fast voice communications in many service businesses. PTT radio is efficient and extremely cost effective for certain operations and this device can easily work for many businesses using Zello to share fast communications in a team environment. This radio could fill a niche need for office or field workers that need instant communications. This was bought a few days ago with the intent to use as back-up communications for a business but we want something easier. We tried it for a day and it works great but Zello is too complicated for our needs. Don’t get me wrong, Zello is fantastic for what it does, but the learning curve is high. Zello does amazing things for free and their paid business accounts are top tier. Returning this radio is too expensive so selling it at a small loss is our only option.
