Description: Nice 18th century brass candlestick with a side ejector that work nicely and a slightly domed base. The stem is attached by means of peening, the evidence of which is visible underneath in the photos. There are also lathe marks visible underneath from "cleaning" off the excess metal. I would date this candlestick to the early 18th century. The base is round and undamaged so the candlestick sits flat and straight. There is a small knop which seems to be a remnant of the more prominent ones of the 17th century. Overall very fine condition with only one small dent visible in the stem. Dimensions:6 5/8 inches tallBase diameter is about 3 3/4 inches
