Description: Pottery shaped like a turtle shell. Light yellow color and intricate detailing of ginkgo leaves, handcrafted with clay and incised with a unique backstamp. The ginkgo leaves were laid upon the damp clay, imprinted, and then removed. The bowl’s shape is that of an upside down turtle shell. The bowl measures 15-1/4" in length, 13-1/2" in width, and 3" in height, with a weight of 2 lb. 15 oz. I have shown two areas - one is where there is in a line in the under rim - this is not a crack - it was there before it underwent the kiln process. The other looks like a small chip - however, it is not a chip - it is where the glaze did not stick during the kiln process.
