Description: Northern Wales cyclists Road Map c.1923 tourist linen folding pocket map (Old Maps, Early 20th Century Maps, Europe, British Isles, United Kingdom, Wales, Holyhead, Carnarvon, Dolgelly, Travel, Tourism). Bartholomew's Road Map of England and Wales, Sheet 4. Sheet 5.- Roads specially revised for cycling tourists. Published c. 1923, London by Edward Stanford. Folding pocket map in 21 panels. Text in English. Publisher's color lithographed map dissected and mounted by publisher onto linen backing. Item is around 100 years old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition. Paper gently age worn, slight rubbing, early owner's pencil notations about hotels along coastline top center, remains overall clean and attractive as a inherently fragile survival. Paper is lightly toned, normal signs of handling, perhaps small scattered spotting, internally still well preserved and sound. Still attractive. The scarce ephemeral paper item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and overall is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this offering survives. Covers measures c. 7" H x 4 1/2" W. [B13761].
