Description: This is a rare 19th century, Northwest Coast Makah U-shaped halibut fish hook. It's a museum quality piece. It's in fantastic condition and retains its original bone barb. These are rarer than ones with metal/iron barbs. The wood is Yew wood. A beautiful wood species. A wonderful historic Northwest Coast object. Book is not included (this is a very good book on the subject of NWC tribes old methods of fishing). See all photos for best description. Measurements: 6 inches x 3 inches.
