Description: This is an original GM high performance aluminum intake manifold for Small Block Chevy engines. The casting number is 3972110 as shown. The 3972110 intake was used exclusively on the 1970 LT-1 350 engine in Camaros Z/28 models and Corvettes. This intake was only used for one year and on two very specific high performance models. This is one of the most rare original GM high performance intake ever produced. I removed the factory oil splash shield on the underside of the intake to reveal the casting date of 6.30.69 as shown. Of course this date cannot be seen when the intake is installed. The oil splash shield has since been properly reattached. This is an amazing factory high performance aluminum intake manifold. This is a true early 3972110 intake manifold. The earlier manifolds had a different style casting number as shown in the last couple pictures. The number is the same but the look of the casting number is different. These true early style casting number intakes are very rare and a must for an earlier built car. This intake manifold is in very nice condition as shown. It is in bare aluminum finish with no paints or coatings. It looks lore like a piece of jewelry than a mechanical part. There is no significant corrosion. The ports are original with the very ends of the intake port deburred as shown. All markings including the part number, firing order, and all important Winter's Foundry snowflake logo are intact and undisturbed. All threads are in good condition with one repaired carb mounting thread. I see one hairline crack on the size of the second mounting boss from the front driver's side which is cosmetic only. The oil fill tube boss and front heater outlet boss are still undrilled as they should be on this intake. Many you will see have been drilled out which is not correct. This is simply an excellent OEM GM 3972110 intake manifold. Don't Miss Out!
