Description: Oxford 1928 Proposed Book of Common Prayer BCP Leather England No A 4121 sy This is a rare and compact Book of Common Prayer according to the 1928 edition for use in the Church of England. Please look closely at the pictures for the certification year for the BCP. Except for a single tear at the first page, it is unused. Most pages still “stick,” having never been turned. Long out of print and very hard to find. The font is very readable, with large typeface for the page’s size, and limited ghosting on very thin paper. Reinforced, sewn text block. Paper quality was amazing back then. It is a bonded leather, free from abrasions or signs of use. The page edge gilding is free from any scratches I could see. There is no writing in the text I could find, but there was an inscription on a blank intro page. Comes with original slipcase.
