Among the named places and features are Beachy Head, Worthing, Rye, Bognor, Chichester, Arundel, Horsham, Brighton, Eastbourne, Ashdown Forest, Winchelsea, Steyning, Cuckfield, East Grinstead, South Downs, Selsea Bill, the site of the Battle of Hastings in 1066, Ashburnham Place, Lewes, and more. The map was issued in an American edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica, and the image area measures 21.2 cm x 30 cm [8¼" x 11¾"]. It is identified as Plate XI, Volume XXII. Condition: It is in very good condition, with a vertical fold, as issued, and no marks, rips, or tears. It is blank on the back, with no printing on the reverse side.
