Orig. EAMES Table/Stool ~Time Life "C" Style ZigZag ~ WALNUT

Description: This is a HARD-TO-FIND ORIGINAL piece designed in 1960 by the EAMES team for Howard Miller Furniture to be put in the Time Life Building in New York. They were used in combination with the Eames-designed Lounge Chairs. There were 3 main styles (a 4th was dropped). This one was originally numbered #0413, and later called a "C" style. These 15" tall, solid WALNUT pieces could convert from a side table (11" smooth edge) to a stool or seat (13" concave Chamfered edge) by flipping them. The unique ZIG ZAG center was made from light and dark walnut wood blocks glued together and lathed. This makes for an interesting design! I don't know when this particular one was made (1960-1970?), but I have owned it for over 30 years. I am guilty of having used it as a plant stand and thus causing the somewhat stained surface on the seat side. (My Bad.) Condition: The finish is original: table top is beautiful; stool bottom has the darkened area of wood (could be sanded and oiled). The walnut is also in very good condition--no chips or dents. But there is a drip (of unknown origin) that runs down the length of 1 side. (I took pic of it, bit it's hard to see. In fact, this is the only time I've ever noticed it.) This important EARLY piece is an ORIGINAL--and NOT a copy, like those still being made by both Herman Miller and knock-off companies. (Other originals can be found online for many $1000s.)
