Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This is a lot of 203 different genuine 1960s real photo postcards that measure 3.5" x 5.5" created by baseball photographer Norman Paulson, done in the genre of George Burke, George Brace and Jim Rowe, who sold photos or postcards to players, their families and fans in the earliest days of collecting, often advertising in publications such as Baseball Magazine and Baseball Digest. These postcards were obtained directly from Paulson and pulled from his file cabinet and represent his “Examples” or “Samples” archive. None of these have ever been mailed. Postcards have the players' name on the back (hand written by Paulson usually) or typed on the front for reference. Most of the postcards of 1930s and 1940s players are from George Burke photos and come directly from the original negatives and would be Type 2 RPPC. The prewar players tend to be photos of photos or photos of cards that in both cases would have been taken by Paulson. Some backs have some toning, stains or discoloration. Below is a complete list of the players who are contained in this collection. I have provided scans of 24 of the postcards however if more are needed, just ask, as all have been scanned.
