Description: Pelikan Souveran M600 Black GT Fountain Pen (Fine nib) Pre-owned Pelikan Souveran M600 Black GT Fountain Pen with the legendary Pelikan fine nib. Excellent condition! Minor scuffs on cap, but doesn’t affect the pen’s functionality. I’m the second owner of this legendary Made in Germany Pelikan pen. This is my only Pelikan, and I can understand why there’s so much love for these! I’m selling this elegant writer only because I have way too many pens! The new owner of this pen will be very happy. From what I can tell, this basic black model is no longer available.I’m happy to answer questions, but please keep in mind I’m not a historian or serious collector. I am just a writer who loves using fountain pens.___________________ FROM A STORE'S WEBSITE: The Pelikan Souverän M600 is a great middle series model to try out. It's not too big (like the M1000) and it's not too small (like the M200 series). It's a decent size, it's very comfortable and not heavy, it's very pretty, and the nib is a pleasure to use. The M600 has a differential piston-filled ink system and hand-crafted finely engraved 14K Gold nib. The Pelikan M600 Black fountain pen features black barrel and gold-plated trim. The Pelikan M600 Black fountain pen comes with the hallmark striped celluloid overlay that has been associated with Pelikan fountain pens for half a century. The cap band is engraved with "Souveran," and the material has a sparkling quality to it.____________________ In the year 1929 Pelikan was the first company in the world to introduce the differentiated piston mechanism. This technique causes the spindle inside the fountain pen to turn quicker than the end piece of the barrel, with the help of two different threads. To this date, this fountain pen exists in many different variations, and though it has been developed in design and technical details over time, the basic mechanism remains the same. Only few years after the first Souverän model was launched on the market, the Souverän in black was presented in 1985. The main difference between this pen and its predecessors is that the sleeve is not striped. The barrel is made of entirely black high-grade resin. The view window of the ink container that is set off in a shade of transparent green as well as its gold plating give this fountain pen an individual character and the nostalgic aura of an original classic pen. If you love classics, you own a Souverän writing instrument. -END-
