Description: This item is an antique art glass vase made by the Phoenix Glass Company using a Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company mold. The fern design was one of its most popular. Once the vase had been molded (the last picture shows how Phoenix worked the mold lines into the design), the background color was applied by hand and the vase was refired to set the colors. The robin’s egg blue on this vase is particularly striking and well-executed, which suggests it dates from the 40s. The vase is 7” tall, approximately 6” at its widest point and it has a 4” opening. As the photos show, it has no chips, cracks or water stains though there is some typical faint roughness at the bottom and inside edge of the top. I ship promptly via Priority Mail.
