Description: Mrs. Carrie Alice Thornton, née Esmond, born May 16th, 1846. Died January 2nd, 1887 aged 41. This book of her poetry was published by hber husbandm George, as a tribute to her. Printed and bound by Everett Waddey of Richmond, VA. They became an important East Coast printer and ultimately morphed into an office interior business till trading under the name Creative. Modern copies are available but there does not seem to be an original on the market. Near fine condition. Corners and top and bottom of spine very lightly bumbed. From gold decoration bright like new. Nicely decorated.
