The Portuguese government acquired the first generation MKI rimless helmets and in the 1930s replaced the liner with one of Portuguese manufacture, on the front. You can see the decal with the green legion logo (a green Catholic cross" and the initials "DCT" (Territorial Civil Defense)". The helmet was manufactured in the United Kingdom in 1916 by Hadfield Ltd of Sheffield. A truly scarce and rare piece to see! Totally original piece.
