The project was released just days after Gil Scott Heron's passing as homage to ensure his legacy as a pioneer and one of the best Revolutionary Poets will never be forgotten. Gil Scott Heron is one of the most sampled musician's in hip-hop and "Revolutionary Suicide" takes you on journey showcasing his prolific catalogue. DJ Child enlisted fellow PGM family member Ras Terms to create a painting for the cover art depicting Gil Scott Heron reinvisioned from the classic Huey P. Newton photograph of him sitting in the fan chair with two rifles which is where the title "Revolutionary Suicide" comes from (Huey P. Newton's autobiography). Acclaimed Rastafarian artist, Ras Terms created an original painting for the cover art for this PGM project. Ras Terms is a spiritual artist with a mastery of a variety of styles, who started his journey as a pioneer in the Miami graffiti and street art scenes in the 1980's and has since evolved into a world traveling visionary who creates heavily-influenced multi-cultural works (contemporary, abstract, and beyond). Ras Terms' paintings have been featured all over the globe from street murals, to rooftops, to acclaimed institutions including the Rastafarian exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C., the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Oakland Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Graffiti in Miami, FL, and many more. Only 100 CD's were ever pressed for a Gil Scott Heron tribute event in San Francisco, CA in 2011. We found one brand new copy left in our warehouse.
