Description: L.A. RIDER If you held this item in your hand between 1897 and 1937, it would have been worth $25 in Gold Coin! That's because it's a coupon from an interest-bearing bond of the Los Angeles Railway Corp. issued in 1897. Furthermore, this is a SPECIMEN with red serial number 00000, which essentially means you can't find one anywhere else, at least not an original like this. Steel engraved by the American Bank Note Co., the coupon has a detailed vignette (steel-etched image) of L.A. Railway Streetcar #121!! Each coupon is individually numbered on the front and the back which looks like the ornate back of an old U.S. banknote of the era! Every coupon was engraved and issued in 1897 but may have a latter redemption date as late as circa 1930. Approximately the width of a playing card and approximately half the height. Excessively rare emerald gem with only a handful known. Don't let this trolley roll away to another destination!! Coupon is dated in the 1920's - 30's (earlier ones were sold with the bond for megabucks). Retail Value: $60. Buy Now for $19.95 and SAVE 66%!!
