Description: Here is an interesting old wooden case that was just found at a Wisconsin sale. It has a paper flyer inside with the names and prices of perfumes and goods from the California Perfume Co., New York. I tried to research its history and it appears that the California Perfume Company would later become Avon. From a few similar cases shown online, I believe this depot/demonstrator sample case was likely used around the late 1890's. It would be a nice addition to any perfume collection. Measures 13 1/2" across, 7 1/4" deep and 3" tall. It has a main clasp on the front and each side has a screw with a hook. Good condition with honest wear from use and age. Some general wear and minor cracks in the wood. There are some scuffs, marks, and minor discoloration to the red interior. Overall, it displays very well.All items are SOLD AS IS.
