RARE Cobalt Bird On Log Decorated Bangor, ME Stoneware 4 Gallon Crock AS-IS

Description: Hard to find Maine-style bird decorated crock. The bird motif that became popular among potters in Maine is noticeably different than the one more commonly found in MA, CT, or NY. A large portion of the finish on this crock was restored at some point, and they did an ok job, not a great one. From a distance you can't really tell, but closer inspection reveals a faux finish in an attempt to match the original. It does not appear to be cracked, but since I cannot tell for sure what is under the restoration, I am selling as-is. Measures 12" tall, 11" across the bottom.
