Description: Very rare vintage Hamilton 36.000 high frequency (1972) watch with caliber 631 Swiss made by A.Schildt (AS1920)The Hamilton 631 was originally built by the A. Schild Company and was released under the AS1920 caliber, starting circa 1970, and continuing in production through 1976. In addition to Hamilton, the AS1920’s were sold to companies such as Edox, Longines, Lucien Piccard, Mido, Technos and Titoni. It is likely these movements were used in still other watch brands, but I prefer to keep my lists relatively short, where possible. At 36,000 BPH/VPH, it was one of the most accurate movements of its time, Excellent condition considering it's age..Clear dial with beautiful hands with no corrosion and long sweeping seconds hand.Nice square index markers.Working day/date window (english) with quickset function at 3 o'clock position. (Do not do this between 10.00 am and 14.00 pm). Some light scratches on the cushion shaped bezel due to it's age. Original Hamilton crown.Serviced and oiled according to it's former owner (watchshop) New non-original grey leather strap fits wrist till 20 cm.Good working condition ( see timegrapher pics) and from my personal collection but have to make room for new discoveries.
