Description: RARE Vintage Barbie kimono from Japan. These kimonos were made exclusively for the Japanese market back in the 60s. I bought this set from the original owner probably 30 years ago. Her Father was stationed in Japan. Beautiful NM kimono lined in purple crepe and hand sewn. Obi is original to this set and complete. Included are a vintage pair of white gloves and clear silver glitter shoes marked Japan. These were untagged but definitely made in the Mattel factory in Japan and sold exclusively for the Japanese market. So very htf in this condition. This one is beautiful with no spots or stains. The last picture is in the Barbie in Japan book picturing all three of the kimonos. Please ask any questions. Thank you.
