It has been sued, carried, and sharpened. The genuine WOOD handle shave no chips or cracks. This is an extremely RARE KNIFE!! I have not seen another. Little Valley Knife Assn. was founded by Herbert Crandall, son in law of W R CASE and he operated it until 1905 then started Crandall Cutlery. Around 1911 he merged with W R CASE & SONS.
