RARE!! Well Cared For Early 1950s Doll With Outfits!!

Description: WELL CARED FOR!!RARE!! This vintage early 1950s doll is a bit of a mystery!!We have been trying to find her online for a couple of weeks now with no luck. Looked at doll data base sites, google image search and others with no luck.Here is what we know: This was my gramma's doll (dad's mom). My mom remembers it at her house back in the early 1950s. She had it before mom met dad!!There are no manufacture markings on her: nothing on back of neck, bottom of feet, etc.There is a strange plastic button on her lower back (see pic #4). We don't know what this is- maybe a pull string was here? She is made of a soft rubber, plastic and/or composition material. I'm clueless about this as I don't do dolls so am not sure! She stands 13" tall.Brown eyes and hair. Eyes still open and close.Gramma called her "Caroline" and it is stitched on one of her outfits but nothing comes up with that name and her picture.Gramma kept her on her bed every day! Many of her skirts/dresses are made to flare around her while she is sitting.Many-if not all- of her outfits are handmade. Most have no snaps, hooks or buttons. Velcro on one dress that I believe gramma added later? This dress is the main pictured and may be the dress she came in!The peach dress goes over the white petticoat (pic #9). Petticoat #14. Basic panties #15 This doll has no socks or shoes.She really could use a white blouse to go with her misc skirts!There are a few things that were purchased in the 1960s/70s. If they don't fit, gramma was going to use them for fabric. There is one small mark on the back of her right elbow- other than that, she is in excellent condition!
