Rarer 1976 Rolex 36mm Oyster Perpetual Date Model 1530 In OysterQuartz Case

Description: Reportedly only 1500 were ever made before Rolex released their quartz movement in the same case in 1977. The 1530 uses Rolex’s std. 1570 automatic mechanical movement that was used on most other Rolex models of the day. So no need to worry about electronics breaking and not being able to get parts. The dial has a couple of hairline scratches to the right of the 8/9 markers that you may need a loupe to see. The 1530 dials were a bit smaller than the later OysterQuartz and so this model has a chapter ring around the dial. 1530 also has a 96660 stamped bracelet rather than the 17000 on the OysterQuartz. Bracelet blades on this watch are likely newer since they don’t have a date nor bracelet model #. Bracelet fits a bit over 7” wrist. The link screw where the clasp closes was cross threaded and maybe hard to unscrew. Watch runs fine and the prior owner said it had been serviced recently. It has been polished in the past but has wear marks on metal parts. The sapphire crystal has a chip at the edge @ 12 o’clock and other scratches.
