Description: Overall Condition: Very Good Seriously, this camera is in stunning condition. It was babied by the one person who owned it its whole life. I barely had to clean this thing it was so well taken care of. Of course there's some patina and wear on the sides of the camera where the black paint has worn off a bit to reveal some raw metal. Some minor scratches on the bottom plate around the screw mount as well. So everything on this camera works (including the light meter) - the shutter fires, lenses go on/off no problem, the film door opens without any issues, all of the dials and buttons work. But...sadly...the shutter curtain doesn't close when you try to shoot BELOW a shutter speed of a 60th. A 60th and up? No problem. The shutter curtain opens and closes and sounds like it adjusts properly to the various shutter speed settings. But anything below a 60th... that shutter curtain just stays open. I took it in to my local camera repair shop and they said the issue is most likely congealed lubricant in the escapement and while a simple fix, it requires a lot of time to disassemble the camera and thoroughly clean it. The repair person said a ballpark figure would be between $200 and $300 to CLA the camera. So that was a bummer. Especially since I wasn't planning on using it since I love my Canon (New) F-1. But if you've always wanted an F with a working Photomic Finder this is a great chance to get into one that was babied by a single owner and can take photos at a 60th and up.
