Description: Description This is for a recapping, and repair service for one Apple Macintosh SE/30 logic board. Feel free to contact me about other models BEFORE buying. Many later model 68k Macs used surface mount electrolytic capacitors with defective seals (models such as the SE/30, Quadra, LC, and Mac II are affected). The small round silver capacitors leak highly corrosive electrolyte which damages the board and components. Models made between about 1988 and 1993 are affected. Earlier models didn't use surface mount capacitors, and the leakage problem was fixed by about 1994. Don't delay since every day that passes leads to more corrosion which eventually becomes un-repairable. I will replace all of the problematic capacitors with high quality solid tantalum capacitors which will never leak. 25v rated capacitors are used in the locations that see 12v. Also included is a thorough cleaning, and a moderate amount of repair work of corroded circuit board traces. If extensive repair is needed, there may be an extra cost. I will contact you before doing any extra cost work, and let you know before hand if I think a normal repair isn't likely to work. Feel free to send pictures of your board to me for evaluation before you buy. Some boards may be beyond repair due to corrosion. If your board is not repairable, I will refund 50% of the price, and return it to you. I will still remove all of the leaking caps, and clean the board so that it won't degrade further.
