Description: Measuring about 8" x 10-1/2", and 61 pages long, this World War II era paperback book, titled "Steel Pile Driver, Skid Mounted", contains the results of tests on a pilot model of a skid-mounted pile driver to determine its suitability for military use. It is dated 1944 and submitted by Captain Winston C. Robbins to the Engineer Board at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Subtitled "Project ME 262 E(2)", and also "Report 804", it is published by the War Department and marked "Restricted." There is also a stamping on the front cover bearing the cautionary note - "For technical Information only." It is in excellent condition for its age, with just typical light surface soiling and edge wear on the cover.
