Description: FREE SHIPPING DISCONTINUED Sawcut Congress, 3-5/8"-closed, RR471, brand new from old stock, thus the "Rider" not "Ryder" name. Can we talk? About fluted Bolsters? Pretty sure my customer base thinks they're tacky, maybe a cheaply made knife? Think again. They look sharp, wear perfectly well, and set about any knife model apart, especially when matched with these Sawcut Scales. We may talk again in the future. The Rough Rider Congress design . . . the knife with a famous heritage, i.e., President Lincoln was carrying a 6-blade Congress with white pearl handles when he was assassinated (see pic) and was known to perpetually carry a pocketknife. Probably no wonder he carried this particular model, often considered a knife for store clerks and office professionals, with its smaller - more utilitarian blades, especially the Coping Blade which does not appear on many models. Like its Sheepfoot cousin, of which there are two on this Congress, these blades are very useful for cutting out paper, and gaskets . . . thus many mechanics carry the Congress. Has the most unusual Sawcut Bone handles which have a natural color variation that is striking. The pattern & feel do indeed very much resemble the roughness left by a circular saw blade. The fluted and slanted nickel bolsters are, indeed, eye-catching, as is the look and feel of this "rounded" Congress design, i.e., not only are the bolsters rounded, the knife itself is rounded, i.e., the sides are NOT flat. Mint condition, never used, never sharpened, never carried. Match strike pulls. No cracks or chipped handles. Original box included. One of Rough Rider's popular folding knives to actually carry, and a personal favorite design, closed length - 3-5/8". Pictures ARE REPRESENTATIVE of the actual knife a buyer will receive, and if not, it will be clearly pointed out where and how, or refunded. Blades are tight, yet open easily, then close with a distinctive snap, while lining up perfectly in their grooves. They do not have half-stops. They are extremely sharp right out of the box. Rough Rider quality rivals Case for a fraction of the price. Would make a dandy knife for any office worker.
