Description: BRAND NEW NUMBERED EDITION SACD In January of 2021, just over two years ago, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (who are billed as "The undisputed leader in audiophile recordings since 1977") graced the music world and the international music collecting community with the world's first ever 'official' audiophile-grade produced and remastered Hip Hop album, in the brilliance of 1986's Raising Hell, the third studio album by none other than the iconic Rap trio of Run-DMC. Offered on vinyl record and compact disc, this first of a kind (taken from the 'original master tapes') was produced on two 12-inch, 180-gram-weight vinyl records (encompassing the entire original album), mastered at 45rpm (for optimal sonic playback), and presented in quintessential MoFi ultra-high quality gatefold packaging in a limited edition run of 3,000 numbered releases. For the compact disc enthusiast, the album was simultaneously released on Ultradisc UHR Hybrid SACD format, in a 2,000 unit limited-edition numbered run as well. The album, in its earliest and original form, has never been acknowledged as anything short of "brilliant" and remains, to this day, as Run-DMC's most revered studio album. Not only was the track-listing full of lyrical and sonic Hip Hop genius, but it was also the first time in the history of the genre that would include a cross-genre partnership with a superstar rock group, as they collaborated with Aerosmith on their hit single "Walk This Way"; an interpolation of Aerosmith's original 1975 single release. The album has received many reissued versions over the almost 40 year stint since its original launch, but has never received, by any record company before Mobile Fidelity, an attempt to recreated the Raising Hell experience in a pressing with all of the true-to-form qualities and properties characteristic of a definitive 'audiophile' record.
